Plating is a great option to change the way your jewellery looks for little cost.  We give your jewels a deep clean and then electronically apply layers of 18kt yellow gold to the surface.

 

At Lumio Plating we use a process called Hard Gold Plating and apply a minimum of 1 Micron.

 

A micron is a measurement of thickness and it is 0.001mm, very thin.

 

We recommend plating your jewellery with a minimum for the following;

Earrings – 1 micron

Necklaces/ Bracelets – 2 microns

Rings - 3 microns

Please note we cannot plate watches or jewellery that contain Pearls, Coral, Opal, Amber, Shell and Turquoise.   Generally most other gems have no issues going through the process but items are plated at your own risk.
